Lean, tidy, and one of the best-value roasts on the whole animal.
Eye of round is the cut behind proper deli roast beef: one long, even cylinder of tight-grained meat with barely any fat to trim and almost nothing you're paying for that you won't eat. Every slice comes out the same size as the last.
The method is simple and it matters. Roast it low, pull it at rare to medium-rare, rest it, then slice it as thin as you can against the grain.
Canadian AAA grade, sold fresh. Roughly 3.5 kg (about 7.5 lb) per roast — a Sunday dinner plus a week of sandwiches, or cut it down into two or three smaller roasts and freeze what you don't need now.
No two roasts weigh the same, so you'll see a weight variance fee at checkout. Once we weigh the piece that's going to you, you're refunded the difference — you only pay for the beef you actually get.
Serving Ideas:
Sunday Roast Beef: 250°F until the centre reads 125–130°F, rest 20 minutes, carve thin. Yorkshire puddings optional, but encouraged.
Deli-Style Sandwiches: Roast, chill overnight, then slice paper-thin. Better than anything at the counter.
French Dip: Thin beef, crusty roll, good jus for dunking.
Stir-Fry & Hot Pot: Firm it in the freezer for 30 minutes, then slice it shaving-thin across the grain. Fast heat, quick cook.
Homemade Jerky: Lean and uniform with no fat running through it — the classic jerky cut.
Low & Slow Braise: Prefer fork-tender over pink? Brown it hard, then braise it in liquid for a few hours.
A big, lean, honest roast at a price that still makes sense. Grab one while they're in.
